This was in the late 1990′s when the business idea of making and selling wooden blocks was created by Melissa and Doug. Today, the blocks offered by this wooden toy company are many. Melissa and Doug knew that their products had to be of high quality and educational to be able to sell at a reasonable price for their business to make it. There are 24 items containing blocks today. There is the Unit Blocks on Wheels that is a set of 36 blocks in different colors and shapes. ... by : Help making toy using simple machines.? I have to make a toy using 4 simple machines. (Inclined Plane, Lever, Pulley, Gears, Cam, Ratchet, Screw, Crank, Crank & Slider). But there’s a catch. The toy is attached to a string and when you pull the string, 3 different actions happen. For example a person: The head would nod, arms wave, and legs move. Or a car and its hood opens, it bounces and doors open. These are just examples, it could be anything at all. Now this is made out of wood/plastic and I have a whole woodshop room to make it so I have a lot of machines to work with. He recommends that this “toy” be placed on a base.
