...  Or if I ask him a question that I give him the answer to, his response is always “yeah i knew that, how didn’t you know that??”. It seems to be a tact to make me mindful that he’s smarter or better than I am somehow. Also he loves to pick on me, saying semi-hurtful things as though he’s trying to get a response from me. When i express that I want him to stop he gets mad, or if i decide to shoot the same type of joke at him, he gets really mad. I already have a toddler, I don’t want to have to treat my boyfriend like one. My personality prohibits me from laying down and letting him win, or just agreeing that he’s more intelligent. I believe we’re both intelligent in different areas. When i try to explain this to him, he merely says “well if i wanted to be knowledgeable in the same areas as you, i could learn it all in a couple of days”.
