Wanaka – an Adventure Playground

Wanaka is situated on the South Island of New Zealand in the Otago region and is part of the Queenstown Lakes District. The town was originally settled during the gold rush in the 19th century. However, with the gold rush well and truly over, the new gold rush of outdoor adventure sports is in full swing. Primarily a resort town that has a strong tourism industry in both winter and summer seasons, Wanaka is undergoing a massive growth phase.

Wanaka enjoys four distinct seasons, with temperatures ranging from high 30s in the summer months to highs of 10 degree Celsius in winter. This climate makes it perfect for lovers of snow sports up in the mountains that surround Wanaka to water summer adventure sports in the summer.

Is It Bad Etiquette Recommendations in My Daughter’s Invitation?

Question by : Is it bad etiquette recommendations in my daughter’s invitation?
We’re making home made invitations this were and were going to put
“Gift Ideas” along with things she likes or gifts we thought would be ok for her age (she’s 2), for friends and family who are hardly around her. But we realized that we’ve never seen any other parents do this before, except one (a friend who put “learning outdoor toys”). Is that bad etiquette?
By hardly around, I meant that yeah we do see them, but mainly at other’s party (I have a very large family) and when we run into them at my mom’s house. But I thought so.

It is always rude to mention gifts in an invitation.

Gifts are ALWAYS at the discretion of the giver.
