All kids love toys, whereas many parents still have this same old way of thinking that toys are not so good for kids. Toys will discourage them from learning since they will spend hours of their time to play, not to study.

Well, as much as I’d like to say that this view is not completely wrong, this view is not totally right as well. It’s true that too much hours spent on playing toys will result in negative effects (ie. bad grades). Nonetheless, toys are needed by kids. Why do they love toys so much? Here’s my little thought on this subject.

Firstly, kids’ love of toys may somewhat alike man’s interest in sport cars or woman’s love of fashion. Toys are one of their media of expression. Have you ever wondered why your kids will shake their toys whenever they wanted to go to the bathroom? Now you know the answer. That also part of the reason why first learning experience provided in the kindergarten is so much like a game? Because kids’ minds are more-open to toys/ games.  Read more...
